Be A Society Diplomat and My Christmas Present

Friends of the Law Society, *two edits below

If you can talk someone into giving you their phone number, you can talk a sponsor into opening their heart - - to us! Officially announcing the Law Society Sponsorship Committee, an outgrowth of the Editorial Board's Public Relations section.

Driven, resilient individuals with amazing self-esteem are encouraged to approach Aishah Roose (hantuayer [at] hotmail [dot] com). Invaluable candidates will:
-Be able to speak eloquently
-Be sociable and "smiley"
-Be group work compliant
-Know people who know people
-Be business minded "sharks"

What is in it for you? Satisfaction of a job well done. And lots of hugs from me. And hey, some business contacts of your own for the future.

What's in it for the Society? A ton. Reasonably priced Law Ball tickets and a beautiful Editorial Board yearbook, being most notable.

Other updates:

  • VROOM VROOM! Yesterday, more than 20 of us went Go-Karting and it was AMAZING! Plenty of year 1, year 2 mixing went on and the competition was good. And you know what? Ms. Kay Mi was there, too!
  • The Slave Auction has been postponed. That means you have more time to think of semi-evil things for your slave to do! Just kidding, well..
  • Christmas events are going to be coming like BAM BAM BAM in the next two weeks, so fast that I haven't even been able to keep track of them all. You'll see what I mean when you get to school on Monday! Prepare yourself for decorations galore, sweet caroling, gift exchanges and a nice dinner out in KL. Hug your nearest Social Subcom friend for all of their hard work! If you want to get involved, Social Subcom is holding a Monday meeting - then you can hug yourself, too!
  • Calling all Drama Queens and Kings, a reality show is shooting at HELP this Wednesday and Thursday. The PR Department has specially invited us to participate, because they know our department is rockin'. Grab a bunch of friends and get yourself on TV. Leave me a comment if you want more info!
  • Do you love tea? Do you love Kishore's Band? Well, if you only need to love one of the two (I heart you Kishore!!) to come out to the Curve on Friday, 7pm. They wrote an original song for JusTea, and their winning is by crowd support. I already promised Kishore the police are going to have to escort me out for disturbing the peace ;)

Love the Law,
Michelle

P.S. It is World AIDS Day. Spread awareness, not stigma!
