Introducing the Justice League: No, We're Not Paramilitaries
Friends of the Law Society,
Put on your Superman and Superwoman capes, it is with much great pleasure that I introduce you to the name of our Editorial Board publication, The Justice League! YEAH! It beat out Mens Rea... Aren't we glad we aren't named after the guilty mind?
Congratulations to our democratically elected Ed. Board head committee: Sin Yew, editor, Sara Lim, deputy editor, Tamara Lee, secretary and Alina Ong, treasurer. It is NEVER to late to get involved with Ed. Board. By nature, events will come up so if you're interested in covering a particular event, come on over! Current sections include Academics, sports, society, entertainment, charity, student affairs, public relations and community affairs. We are looking for a solid photo/design team, so all interested parties please approach your nearest friend in Ed. board!
The Mooting Competition signups have already started and spaces are filling up SO FAST so please please, don't get left out! I'd say 90% of my class signed up. It's going to be that good!
FUTSAL/FUTSOL! I have NO idea what it looks like or how to play, but I am going to try it out tomorrow (Thursday) with a ton of Society members at 11 am. If you want to come, please talk to ANY GUY in L1. We'll be in 7.19 from 9-11 tomorrow. The field is a 10 minute drive away. Bring your gear, and we'll make it happen! TONS of girls are coming, too so ladies let's teach the boys how this game is really played...
Oh, and one last thing: BLACKNWHITES! Everyone looks so good when they come in their suits, so I've dedicated a photo album JUST for pictures of us all dolled up. Send your pictures to me at a NEW Law Society G-Mail address - iHEARTlaw (at) gmail (dot) com.
