LAW BALL: Food Tasting at the Marriot

Friends of the Law Society,

Tonight, nine of us dawned our invisible chef hats and posed as food connoisseurs. I must say that most of the things we ate were wonderful but there were quite a few things that were strange. A discussion and quick vote was taken after each dish and comments and suggestions were recorded on paper. This paper was later submitted to the hotel staff.

We took great care to ensure that the menu was a balance of cooking styles (fried, steamed, soup, etc.) while maintaining that the edibleness of each dish was of paramount importance!

If you would like to ask someone personally about the food, please feel free to approach one of the people below. Well, not the Executive Chinese Banquet Hong Kong Chef (whew, what a title!) in the center, nor our wonderful and incredibly curteous servers. You know what I mean :)

Below is the menu we tried. The dishes with an asterisk indicate that changes will be made to that dish, for the better of course! We decided to take out the more intimidating foods (i.e. red dates and red octopi...) and lessen the amount of "deep-fried" dishes to satisfy your exquisite and legally-sophisticated palates!
